Introducing the Tri Tran Anniversary Edition Brass Lens. Tri Tran presents the third generation of his Signature Soft Focus Lens. Hand carved from a solid billet of Antique gold brass for its precision, every detail of this spectacular design is meticulously executed .
Inspired by the earliest lenses from the dawn of the age of photography, this lens is a completely original design which represents the pinnacle of the lens maker’s Art. The sophisticated photographer will appreciate the sumptuous lines and curves of the body reminiscent of a Renaissance sculpture.
The highly polished surfaces of the brass is protected to last for the next 150 years. It glows like it was made of solid gold. Most importantly, viewing the soft focus images this lens draws on the ground glass is a transcendent experience.
Much flexibility is designed into the Anniversary Edition Lens. It is designed to completely integrate with Tri Tran’s Signature Interchangeable Lens System. Lens elements from other makers may also be fitted into the barrel. Compared to previous generations, the larger diameter barrel and aperture of this Anniversary edition lens allows ½ stop more light onto the ground glass to aid focusing. A 105mm thread size at the front of the barrel is convenient for accepting Lee Filters system. Shutter options include Packard and Sinar shutters. It will fit on a 140mm Sinar lens board
